What the Heck is Terroir?
An Exploration of Appellations
Where a wine is grown really does make a big difference in the final flavor of the wine. We look at 6 major growing regions and walk through what makes each region unique. In this class you will discover what parts of the world you prefer for any given varietal. We will sample simple foods that pair well with wines from each region to help you understand how to better choose the best wine to match your meal. You may even discover a region you'd never thought to try! This is a wonderful class to really get to know a particular grape and narrow your search when faced with a wall of wine and no wine steward in sight!
